What are the pool limitations?
There is no limitation in regards of what pool can be used with MARAFW. Multiple pools can be set up using the dashboard, using MARATools or typical mining management tools, like BTC Tools or Foreman.
What are the Operating Modes?
- Automatic Tuning - ASICs can adjust the produced hash rate and improve the efficiency by increasing or decreasing the performance of the machines by the set value
- Stock Hash rate - this mode keeps the hash rate at the level of the stock firmware while improving the power consumption of the ASICs
- Fixed Frequency - allows to set a custom frequency and voltage
- Sleep Mode - the ASICs will stop mining to lower the power consumption to almost zero (the control board and the fans are still powered up).
I get different results on different miners of the same model, what to do?
Small performance differences are completely normal as each, and every chip is slightly different. This is common for every type of chip, not only ASICs. If a marginal difference in the performance of the machines is observed, contact our MARA Team by sending a ticket.
How to check the power consumption?
The power consumption seen on the dashboard is just an approximation and is not accurate. However, MARAFW offers a possibility to integrate data from a smart PDU. To show precise power consumption on the dashboard, follow the "Precise Power Consumption" guide.
After a successful installation, the dashboard still shows the stock FW

Miner was “lost” (MAC address and/or IP address change)
- MARAFW keeps the MAC address of the machines to prevent an IP address change. While it is still possible that the IP address will change after the installation, it is done independently by the DHCP server. If the miner is "lost", perform a scan of your network as the machine might have received a new IP address.
- In case the miner is in a “boot-loop” (cannot properly start up the Firmware), both LED lights on the front panel will be lit. This usually happens if the installation was interrupted and the system is incomplete. Perform an SD recovery by following the manufacturers guide and restart the installation.
What are the terms of usage?
